Solar Pyrolysis of Spirulina platensis Assisted by Fresnel Lens Using Hydrocalumite-Type Precursors

Solar pyrolysis is a promising technology as it combines use of biomass and solar energy to generate transportable storable fuels, well chemicals interest. The most desired product rapid microalgae bio-oil, liquid viscous mixture composed hundreds chemicals. Among these compounds are many oxygenates that usually bring some undesirable properties e.g., instability. This study aimed investigate the potential Spirulina platensis produce bio-oil from catalytic assisted by Fresnel lens. performance mixed oxides derived hydrocalumite was evaluated, aiming improve yield quality product. effects reaction time percentage catalyst on distribution composition were quantified. An optimization performed using differential evolution (DE) algorithm in order maximize yield. results showed highest (43.4%) obtained 23.4 min 58.6%. contributed improvement quality, which presented its low quantity oxygenated higher hydrocarbons.
